» CareerGirl - TSA Airport Screener Position-Ques

In response to TSA Airport Screener Position-Ques posted by zabukes2006:
They state that a minimum of 1 year is required however, I have heard of applicants being accepted with less experience. It never hurts to apply, go through the process and even if you are not hired, you will then have a good understanding of what you do need. One of the best ways to gain the relevant experience would be to secure a position with a private security company that dispatches security officers to government buildings, malls, private companies, etc. Experience is not required, they provide on the job training and it will give you the background needed to apply to TSA, if you are not successful the first time. Good luck! Tracey
