I guess that this kind of information is food for thought. The question is how do we view world change and our part in it.
These changes come at a time when for example

the aged live longer and need carers,

we know more about mental health and therefore can provide better services,

new improvements in technology are creating other kinds of jobs such as great big animation teams

there is a pressing need for inventions to stop pullution and degradation of the environment

there is a pressing need for rehabilitation programmes for the environment

There has never been a better time for people to find a way to put their time to good use. What we need is a change in the education system so that people become connected.

with themselves

with community

globally

and with God (of your own understanding.)

Seen in this way change becomes pregnant with exciting possibilities and a welcome doorway to .......?
