» Feature Writer Daniel Workman - Staying Ahead of Computers

Interesting article. Many programmers that I know are worried about being replaced by cheaper online talent from India. However, when I visited an Indian online community I noticed that many of the e-business jobs in India can be done via computer over the Internet. Is it possible to get a telecommuting job from a client in India and work in North America? Absolutely.

Daniel - I could not agree with you more. Just take a look at freelancing sites such as Elance.com - there is a large majority of outsourcing work being done in India, and other countries. However, there are also an increasing number of companies that are hiring online for IT work - and many of the companies hiring are overseas. I assume at some point, the playing field will level - happy Tracey
