In the midst of a recession, everyone is searching for the best recession jobs that will make it through difficult times. Despite the gloom and doom, there are employment opportunities and new jobs hiring everywhere, if a job seeker knows how to find them. The following recession proof job sectors have been and continue to be hiring to fill new job positions.
Commissioned Sales Jobs
Sales jobs are almost completely recession-proof because companies need sales people more than ever during an economic downturn. And commissioned sales jobs are the most secure – after all, the boss doesn't pay any wages (or very minimal ones) unless sales staff deliver results. People who are good at sales will find that commission sales jobs will be secure throughout the recession.
Nursing and Other Health Care Professions
Nursing is one profession that continues to hire with new jobs opening all the time. The reason why is the aging baby boomer population, combined with the success of newer medical treatments that have extended lives – but still require that patients have frequent medical care. Expertise with money and the numbers that matter to businesses is invaluable, so accounting and financial jobs are some of the best recession jobs. Accounting directors and office staff with financial specializations are equally important and will always have employment opportunities.
Customer Support
Customer support and customer service jobs are vital, especially during an economic downturn, when people are more stressed and rely on extra bang – and charm – for their buck. This includes secretarial and office staff, who might find their hours slightly diminished but will always be irreplaceable in any business.
