There are many legitimate companies that are looking for people who can work from home and provide customer service, tech support or phone sales.

There are a number of companies that outsource their work to home workers. Many of these companies are hired by larger companies to provide call center service. The company then contracts with each person they hire as either an employee or an independent contractor. These positions are sometimes available to those working at home in specific areas, though some hire home workers worldwide.

Working Solutions

Working Solutions is a call center company that hires home workers exclusively. The company hires home workers as independent contractors. This requires workers to withhold their own taxes throughout the year and to calculate their own taxes. The company is seeking multi-lingual workers to better serve their customers.

KeyForCash

KeyForCash hires home workers on an independent contractor basis to do data entry. The hours are flexible, with no minimum or maximum. They only hire workers from the continental U.S. The company generally has a waiting list of applicants due to heavy demand from home workers. The waiting list is often months long. There is no data entry experience required to work for KeyForCash.

Convergys

Convergys hires remote agents for their call centers. Agents work at home with their computer and a headset to take calls. There are a limited number of states that the company hires from. The available states are listed on the Convergys website. Convergys conducts a background check before hiring agents.

Arise

Arise hires call center agents as well as people in tech support and sales. The company requires its agents to work at least 15 hours a week. Arise allows its agents to choose their assignments from among the companies that contract with them.

Cloud 10

Another call center, Cloud 10, hires part time and full time home workers. They pride themselves on flexible scheduling. They hire employees rather than independent contractors and offer both part time and full time work.

TeleTech

Teletech hires employees to do customer service at home. The company has 50,000 employees around the world and offers benefits to its employees. The position includes medical benefits, 401(k), disability insurance, paid vacations and more.

The home call center industry is growing every year as more employers are finding it more cost effective than a brick and mortar call center. Large companies like Office Depot, DirecTv, J. Crew and 1-800-FLOWERS contract through companies that hire home call center agents. Every year, more home call center jobs are created and more opportunities are available for home workers.
