California, T.Drake

California is home to Hollywood and some of the most powerful people on Earth. It is also home to some of the best paying jobs and employers.

This is the first in a State Series of Job Analysis. For this inaugural article I chose to start with the State of California. I think at some point, everyone has considered, or at least dreamed about moving to the land of palm trees, movie stars and warm weather all year round, in search of a better life. So then, let's take a close look at what type of employment opportunities exist in California today.

Demographic Information

If you would like to learn more about the cost of living in California and how far a paycheck goes based on housing costs and everyday living, check out my blog this week.

When looking at average occupation salaries for this article, it became clear that much of the state is influenced by wealthy consumers and those that have large amounts of disposable income. So, I decided to concentrate not on top jobs, but average jobs that could be found anywhere in the nation. I believe this to be a truer representation of the employment market, if you were looking to compare a move to California for employment purposes against another state.
